Beautiful and frightening at the same time: the retreat of 1876-2100. Watch the incredible loss until today (+1.5C warming). Not surprisingly little ice is left in 80 years! Element of a virtual reality exhibition at Diavolezza 🇨🇭.

Vadret dal Corvatsch, Eastern Switzerland. 100 years ago it was a mighty ice field, today just a tiny remnant is left. This year we decided to stop our seasonal observations: too small, too much influence from the ski runs... That's the course of things

My personal sad farewell to the decaying . The speed of deglaciation is hard to understand... 👇 Today I went for finally removing my mass balance stakes. Dark weather, low mood. Also 2020 was devastating to the remnants of the ice. Rocks are taking over now.

Great interactive report. No surprises on the "we eat too much meat" front, but also lots of interesting information on the carbon footprint of different diets, transport and production conditions...

Sea ice extent in the middle of the Ocean is currently the lowest on record (e.g., high Arctic ~80°N+ latitude). This is a pretty impressive statistic.
