Always remember that literally a quarter of the venue is always going through the same thing as you. Half the entrants will go to loser's bracket round 1, and half of them will lose the next match too

I talked to a friend about this recently. In Daigo's book, he said he became a lot happier when he focused on slow, steady growth over purely wins and losses. Speaking from experience, focusing too much on the latter can leave you dissatisfied and with an incomplete experience.
