What’s to stop someone from buying a bunch of decks and constructing a superior one?

Each deck has a different card back - so I'm gonna assume rules mean you kind need to be able to confirm your deck is all backed the same.

You do not construct your deck. Each deck you buy is unique, and you cannot modify it. You must find a way to play with what you have.

How do you balance a game like this?
-
The best way is to have checks and balances built into the game system itself. It's not easy but there are some good examples out there.

I’m very skeptical about how this will actually play out, but tempted regardless...

Super neat idea. Gorgeous art. But the inevitable question: How many of these billions of different unique decks will be terrible or virtually unplayable? There's always gonna be 'that guy' at the local tournament with the best deck found in the area, right?

As a result, this surely isn't intended as a tournament level competitive game, right?
