coming from personal experience, my family visited me and my sister just came to the UK to study and my mom and my sister refused to go to central london just because they are terrified that someone would attack us for being asian.

often times, hate crimes against asians are not regarded as a racist attack and the fear of telling someone who is most probably will not be asian, scares me because i don't want them to feel like i am not thankful for being able to live in this country
