@abumuqawama The flaw in your argument is right in the initial premise: "states rights libertarians"... yeah, that's not a thing.

@abumuqawama libertarians are for individual rights, not states rights. You're of course correct that local PDs are often some of the worst

@abumuqawama violators of individual liberties, but libertarians are against such violations at all levels of government, not just federal.

@abumuqawama If you don't believe me, check out the libertarian twitterverse. We've been talking about pretty much nothing but Ferguson

@abumuqawama which is precisely why "libertarian" became a popular label precisely when "racism" became something you didn't admit to

@isaac32767 @abumuqawama HAHA! Did you just call all libertarians racist?

@kohtz no. I said that libertarian is it convenient label for racists to hide behind @abumuqawama

@isaac32767 They're obviously not libertarian then. Because libertarians believe in individual liberty, which is not compatible with racism.

@kohtz I really don't care what you think a "real" libertarian is. I'm only pointing out how people use the word.

@isaac32767 I don't think people use the word to imply someone is racist. Maybe it's just the people you associate with.

@abumuqawama Libertarians have been complaining on the rise of the militarized police for years. Try following @radleybalko.

@abumuqawama Not quite sure what "states rights libertarian" is. Libertarianism is about relationship between individual & *any* government.

@abumuqawama look at the demographic of the movement you describe, and you'll know why they don't really care about that.

@abumuqawama "states rights libertarians"? Who do you think gives the police departments their fancy toys? (starts with F & rhymes with bed)
