Just did one of the best colour changes I've seen in chem, sorry for the bad quality footage here. Anyone here recognise the blue colour?

Good guesses all but gets a point for guessing Cr. It's Chromium(VI) peroxide (CrO5), a rare example of Cr in +5 ox. state

It's a really tough guess because chromium is very rarely a blue. The wonderful green of Cr(III), the rad orange and yellow of Cr(VI)

But there's also this rather unstable Cr(V) state that can form these beautiful blues and liliacs. (Also semi-explosives, why I'm here btw)
