trying to practice ledge trapping is so fucking boring

watch any set, pause whenever a character is at the ledge, then guess their option. if you guess wrong, speculate why they went for it: was it their first time doing that option? was a previous habit covered? how is the ledgetrapper positioned? how do you punish it?
I’ve been using the training pack mod on smash 4. It has the random ledge option and i can practice what i would do in x situation. Its really cool and i think the mod is tight but i practiced it for 2 hours against almost every character and feel like no improvement was made

And i know in practice i can get everything i do down pact but in bracket it goes to shit

Mix it up with the videos too tho. Humans aren't random. A lot of players have a couple ledge options that they mix up depending on the situation. Ledge trapping is all about analyzing habits and eliminating as much luck as you can to be able to guess correctly.
