I recommend Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho the arcs are really good characters really likeable and it's only somewhat long (100 eps.) It feels very fulfilling and enjoyable to finish and I promise you you'd appreciate it. Try FMA as well it's the easiest anime to get into.
Hmm I guess but you can just take your time with it it's not something you have to binge. But if you want something short and sweet try FLCL it's only six episodes.
