Honestly, prob not gonna get dbfz. Even though it looks like hella fun, i’m not gonna be good enough at it that i’ll even have fun. I’ll just get my ass beat and not want to. Happened with mvc3, mvci, sfv, rivals, list goes on.
Not even in an competitive aspect either. I feel like if you get into something too late, you’ll never be good at it. How many melee players do you see starting post 2014 doing well? How diverse is mvci? Mkx? Its all the same people.

I’m not gonna have fun in a game i don’t understand, and no matter how much time i put into any other similar fighter, i dont make any progress and end up not wanting to play. I dropped 90$ on mvci just to NEVER play it again. I dont wanna do that

It kinda sucks, bc it looks fun, too. But i dont enjoy playing a game that i’m not good at in the slightest and never getting better bc i dont understand its fundamentals. I’ve tried for literal days on how to do basic combos in a simpler fighter and i still dont get it.
