people are too lazy to unify to learn a few words in another language, most of them are symbles you can remember anyway. Putting an entire ban on a character that isn’t being overcentralized in the current meta anyway is harming everyone, whether you see it or not
aside from all that, you’re LITERALLY hindering yourself; hero is legal everywhere else so when you go to a tournament and lose to your r1 who plays hero, you’re gonna say “ban hero” everytime instead of even attempting to learn the character
yeah hero is stupid taking 100 off oomph psyche up crit fsmash is stupid but if you let him get oomph psyche up AND get hit by fsmash thays your fucking fault. Bowser side-b is *literally* rng in multiple different aspects and i’ve won multiple sets w/ it but should it be banned?
As someone who played the character, most of the spells are 100% reactable even kaboom. If you see hero in the menu you can rush him down etc etc
I also got punished multiple times for using psyche up or oomph as the animation is decently long, so the counter argument on buffs being unreactable isn’t there either
im banned from using Razor Leaf or Gunman now, ggs
kaboom is the only unreactable spell imo
I generally agree with everything regarding his moves, and would say the language issue is the only that is remotely relevant to a conversation on whether or not to ban him. I don’t think your solutions for that issue are very good
Gentleman’s works in the case of picking a stage because if one person doesn’t agree, we Rock Paper Scissors. If we can’t agree on a language, then what? Do we force one player to play at a disadvantage?
