Rework a lot of sword characters so that their swords have a “health” system, similar to belly armor where it can beat things for depending on strength and if it breaks it gets weaker overall until they die
bring back perfect shielding altogether, and remove parrying. It has an unecessary skill curve with not a lot of payoff and overall shielding or pressing a faster button is better counterplay, ie moves that are frame 6 and under theres almost no benefit to parrying
for bowser: rework his fire breath. On tap, make it a fireball, and on hold make it a fire breath like it is now. he has a full charge so that way he can only use fireball at full charge but fire breath at any charge. also, give bowser a yoshi esque shield where he goes in ....
his shell, but hitting with a hitbox connected to a hurtbox (mario jab)/grabbing it does decimal non flinch %, and when phantom footstooling you get hit. would be maybe a tad broken but would be super sick
