Will say, yume is absolutely one of the grimiest players in NE. From stage counterpicking to dark stages vs colorblind/hard of seeing players, to watching their controller when he dthrows, yume is absolutely whack

no one said anything when he would do the colorblind bullshit, but now hes essentially cheating to win. If i could also watch someones controller i would too, but i can’t and i won’t. Hes earned this tweet fairly for being super grimy and abusing unfinished rulesets

Not to agree or disagree but... why can't you? Is it just the "I can't look away from the game itself when playing" or is there a legit reason?

myself personally have a really bad eyesight, so i naturally sit pretty close forward to the monitor, where someone like yume only has to glance down whereas i, would have to fully turn around and look. It also just ruins my concentration, but i also have bad eyes

Also most characters don’t have a situation like snake dthrow where they can kill of reacting to a physical input they see on the controller

That I get. I understand not liking it. I've never been a fan of some "Snake tactics" like trying to hide c4 due to stage colours/lighting, play with no sound, try to argue people off of plugging headphones in. I openly encourage plugging headphones into the switch. I'm-

- just less bothered by the looking at inputs. It's in the same vein as listening for a mash to get extra pummels, charge longer on grounded state and it's something I've known players to do for a very long time. I think the stage/audio stuff is grimy and I've said so prev.

TTA audio cues with buttons, is that some people have different layouts. I have L jump, so if you hear that you auto default to “hes gonna shield” or if someone (i wont name) has A to jump, and you here A you think “hes gonna attack” I can’t mixup if i’m being watched

There's also notchless Pro Controllers. The mixup for controller looking is the same mix up you should do if you're getting read in tech chase situations. Input multiple things at random and let what happens happens. That's how Mango claims he techs a bunch of stuff in Melee

Like i said in another reply, i don’t want to have to risk misinputting and losing because someone looks at my controller

I mean I can understand that. For sure. It's risk reward. You can't really misinput too much when you have three options and all of them are from the position of acting second. It's more about just making it random of course. And I'm not defending it at all.
