Its a tough line between too early and too late to test stages. Wait too late, and no one will want change to the list because they're comfortable, and rankings will have started. It's better to test the "hmm this seems kinda sus" early in the game's life to get it out of the way

we have an entire month to test things for stages before rankings count. Trying to do it before its released publically is useless

I mean having a stage list right as the game comes out is extremely helpful

but there hasnt been enough time to thoroughly test every stage, not everyone has been able to test it (legally), and the leak version has bugs on its own. They dont count for anything so day 1 either smash 4 stages or whatever stages t.os want is whatever, but making official
