To an extent. Salt/rage is part of a competitive environment. And if a “newbie” gets scared away from seeing someone rage once then I don’t think that person is fit for the competitive atmosphere. That being said there’s definitely a limit to where it becomes obnoxious lmao
rage to the point of calling people slurs, throwing controllers, assaulting the venue, causing a scene, is NOT part of the competitive scene & people thinking its a norm is a problem. frustration is one thing, but causing a scene out of salt/rage is 100%going to drive people away
Right and like a previously said there is clearly a limit. Calling people slurs isn’t rage thats just being an ass. Assaulting the venue... lack of self control/childishness. Controller throws are kinda pushing it. Like... idk it depends to me. I can understand it to an extent
As well. There was an OoS player who came to one of the locals i used to regularly attend and after his set loss he tossed his controller so hard it actually completely shattered. Made a mess of the venue which was a part of my campus. Long story short he was banned lmao
