hey when smash ultimate comes out can we please agree to be more assertive as T.O’s and community leaders when it comes to dealing with salt/rage? with ultimate on the horizon many more people will be looking to join the scene and i know firsthand what it’s like joining the scene

Going to tournaments and literally knowing who was gonna get salty to the point of violent action ( throwing controllers, punching tables, yelling/swearing etc) and then watching it happen EVERY TIME was trash

hate that shit so much.1 reply 0 retweets 13 likes -

There is that, but even in NE there were some people that just got warnings for far too long (years!?) before any sort of actions were taken. And there are players like that everywhere.

in NE alone i’ve only ever seen very few players be reprimanded for their behavior, and there are WAY too many players that even today haven’t been punished for their behavior. its infuriating to watch it happen and everyone turn their back to it

I’ve been a part of nes4 since smash 4 on wii u released basically, and I can’t recall a single time where someone was reprimanded for huge fits of anger. Despite some players arguably deserving some type of punishment for being so disruptive and occ. disrespecting the venue.

My only examples are blood cross being banned (after YEARS) though he isn't banned in any other region iirc. And 1337 being banned from BP (though that is a private venue ban and not a tournament ban)

i still cant believe 1337 isnt banned from tournaments
