hey when smash ultimate comes out can we please agree to be more assertive as T.O’s and community leaders when it comes to dealing with salt/rage? with ultimate on the horizon many more people will be looking to join the scene and i know firsthand what it’s like joining the scene
in NE alone i’ve only ever seen very few players be reprimanded for their behavior, and there are WAY too many players that even today haven’t been punished for their behavior. its infuriating to watch it happen and everyone turn their back to it

I’ve been a part of nes4 since smash 4 on wii u released basically, and I can’t recall a single time where someone was reprimanded for huge fits of anger. Despite some players arguably deserving some type of punishment for being so disruptive and occ. disrespecting the venue.

i’ve been going to tournaments since early 2015 and the only ban i remember was bloodcross. I’ve seen so many scenarios where everyone just ignores it

Ive talked to TOs and other community leaders about some players actions we are taking notice and will be discussing what we should do once any situation arises

thats only half the battle. when it happens in person, people need to *actually* do something instead of saying “next time it happens...”, and the cycle repeats
