hey when smash ultimate comes out can we please agree to be more assertive as T.O’s and community leaders when it comes to dealing with salt/rage? with ultimate on the horizon many more people will be looking to join the scene and i know firsthand what it’s like joining the scene

From a TO perspective, I think you’re allowed to ban a player for any reason. The community reaction to that is, however, uncontrollable. As justified as a TO may be for banning a player, many don’t want to take the risk if they don’t feel the pressure to do so.

i totally understand that, and an example that reminds me of is the wizzrobe stalling situation. everyone wants to do something about it, but no one wants to be “that guy”, bite the bullet & actually ban him. but with rage its easier to be like “yeah theres no excuse for this”

I disagree with just getting salty that’s going to happen and is plainly to difficult for TOs to manage consistently. Now full in rage mode throwing shit and screeching I can get behind banning but we shouldn’t get too oppressive here.
