and seeing people get salty. its unsettling and is 100% going to drive people away. consistently letting people get away with toxic behavior is problem that never got fixed during smash 4’s life, and going into ultimate would like to see fixed.

Salt is gonna stay no matter what you try. Its a tournament and people are gonna lose and get salty. But ofc raging is a different case. People need to respect their surroundings and go somewhere private if they wanna throw a fit
-
rage is a more appropriate term, but salt also plays in as a factor for people who verbally assault others.

Going to tournaments and literally knowing who was gonna get salty to the point of violent action ( throwing controllers, punching tables, yelling/swearing etc) and then watching it happen EVERY TIME was trash

hate that shit so much. -
its super toxic and makes it uncomfortable for everyone. Its so easy to take a breath and walk outside at LEAST

To an extent. Salt/rage is part of a competitive environment. And if a “newbie” gets scared away from seeing someone rage once then I don’t think that person is fit for the competitive atmosphere. That being said there’s definitely a limit to where it becomes obnoxious lmao
-
rage to the point of calling people slurs, throwing controllers, assaulting the venue, causing a scene, is NOT part of the competitive scene & people thinking its a norm is a problem. frustration is one thing, but causing a scene out of salt/rage is 100%going to drive people away

When I lose and feel down, I just a get a bp shake/sandwich if I'm at bp or go out to eat and drink, then I'll be happy again

-
If i did this every time i get upset i would be broken instantly I remember once i bustered out at bp, immediately went to stars, bought oreos and a soda and didnt talk to anyone for the rest of the night
