i deadass thought it was a big melee tournament because it was called shine
....you got me there but also because shine just gets a lot of good players. Most of the MIOM goes to Shine and last year there was almost 1200 entrants, while smash4 had around 650.

i dont get why i dont hear more things about the melee scene if its that much bigger than the smash 4 scene

we’re just not associated with new england melee like we are nes4. they have big tournaments all the time but we just dont ever hear about it bc NES4 doesn’t really care about melee, same vice versa
