I think I'd go as far as to say I've learned more through people and interaction on this platform than the past 3 years of undergrad courses.

Wow, that’s an damning indictment of your college.

Or the effort you’re putting forth in college.

I've had people flat out tell me, in the past, that something I've tweeted about has made them see something from a different perspective. Whether or not I've made them completely alter their opinion? Probably not, but that's hardly the point in most cases.
-
Same is true for me, as well. I've learnt new things, and changed my views somewhat from listening to others, and I've changed/honed my own opinions by writing about them.
-
It really is all incremental, and we all change slowly over time through small experiences. The changes also can include becoming more firm in one's own beliefs, or even further away from the person one argues with. All of them are changes to.
-
The problem is, people don't see those changes as worthwhile, because it's the opposite of what we tend to want. We want others to agree with us, and to be entirely convinced of what it is that we believe, so that they shift their opinion. Not a healthy attitude imo.

I’ve certainly changed my mind over tweets. Maybe this guy is bitter because he hasn’t changed any minds
-
He's a former Trump critic who has muted his criticism to go along with the crowd and mostly makes snarky both ways comments now. So yeah, bitter is apt.

That sounds like those self help articles/books where the author uses the second person when they're actually talking about themselves.

And we also have to accept that one not having an opinion to start with, and forming an opinion after reading one or more tweets, also constitutes changing ones mind.

Reasonable presumption. (Fits my priors too.) But know of any good evidence to support this?

I think that reading tweets recounting experiences of sexual harassment has made me view it as a serious problem, where previously I thought it was an issue that was usually handled swiftly on sites like this & wasn't common in modern academia.

More left to right, i suspect, as conservative ideas are denigrated and get much less exposure.
