I don’t know who wants to hear this, but looking at prices, graphs, rainbows, previous halvings etc is all, very obviously, astrology for men Ultimately it all comes down to macro and belief

only explanation for the insane IRS figure I could come up with is SBF saying at some point that Alameda had (paper) assets of over 100 bln (I'm guessing end of 2021), so collecting whatever corporate/partnership tax on that can land you 30+ bln in unpaid taxes🙃

Regrettably, some of our team members were not fully aware of the intended purpose for these funds and inadvertently used a portion of them to participate in exchange campaigns. Upon realizing this error, we immediately contacted the exchange team and arranged for a full refund… Show more

Sex is good but have you tried having your country shutting down its last nuclear power plants in 30 mn?

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Only 6% of the electricity produced by the nuclear plants going offline will be from renewable energy. The rest will be coal & gas. cnn.com/2023/04/15/eur…. Coal power produces ~100 times more radioactive waste than nuclear power. Therefore, Europe is about to become more - not less - radioactive. sciencefocus.com/science/do-coa…

Last month, and I urged Congress to move forward on stablecoin legislation, and outlined five principles that a good stablecoin bill must follow. I'm excited for the chance to testify about why stablecoin legislation should be top priority.

1/ Today, @KMSmithDC and I sent a letter to Congress from @BlockchainAssn urging prompt action on stablecoin legislation. There is already bipartisan, bicameral support for new laws on stablecoins. The US is falling behind on crypto. It's time to act. theblockchainassociation.org/blockchain-ass

It’s been a tough six months for crypto, marked by scandal, bankruptcy and a U.S. regulatory clampdown. Yet while most crypto VCs are tightening their belts, a new kid on the block called DWF Labs has stepped from obscurity to start splashing the cash. 🧵

Market making (#MM)- it has three main parts: Market #depth - we add more #liquidity on bid and ask side across exchanges where a token is listed on. Spread - we reduce the spread between the best bid and ask offers by adding more quotes around the middle price in the order book.… Show more

Mind-blowing John Stewart interview with Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks. Late last year, the Pentagon failed its 5th consecutive audit and could only account for 39% of its $3.5 Trillion assets. How could one not know where $2.1 Trillion went?

1/ Who the heck is DWF Labs? In the last couple of months, they have been everywhere, throwing ridiculous checks at everyone from legit projects to dead ones. I dug a bit into on-chain data and other resources, and it doesn't look good.

People describing their very-slightly-outside-the-norm tendencies as “autistic” is not only dumb as hell it’s also offensive to people who have actual autism.

-I have no interest in being involved in editorial stuff (and Larry knows better to not involve me even if I did🫡). I’m interested in commercials, business model, and the business being run with integrity, nothing else.

Some important disclaimers: -There is no investment involved from Wintermute or its affiliated entities (or me personally) -There is no cash compensation involved (I, frankly, don’t need it, and Block can use money better elsewhere)

For me personally, it’s also an exciting intellectual challenge. The Block is a very different business to what I am used to and so I’m looking forward to learn and bring fresh (and hopefully critical) perspective to the table.
