Sad day in America when the judiciary committee has to pass a special act to stop an out-of-control president from firing the very person he appointed because his investigation just might prove how dirty Trump really is.

@SenateMajLdr Bring this bill to the floor for a vote. Do your job, uphold your duty to our constitution and to the citizens of this country. The Special Counsel Independence & Integrity Act passed committee on a bipartisan basis. It deserves a bipartisan vote to protect R laws.

This was a Republican scam from the beginning. McConnell, by not allowing a floor vote is giving his people cover for the 2018 election. When/if Trump fires Mueller Repubs will say they would have voted for the bill on the floor but didn't get the chance.
