It’s important to remember hear that Trump doesn’t exist in a vacuum. He has strong financial backers who, evidently, are OK with the US becoming authoritarian. The money has to come out of politics. Citizens United has to be repealed.
Further we need publicly financed elections (an end to legal bribery). Only then will the will of voters truly be represented.

This is what I feared would happen if Trump came to power "Ordinarily, at such a time, the world would look to America for leadership. But, Freedom House said, the United States has “retreated from its traditional role as both a champion and an exemplar of democracy.”
This is no longer even a question in my mind. We, as a people, need to take control of this situation & fast. #ImpeachTrump #lockhimup #lockthemallup no joke.
In our case, we see that about a third of our country is willing to play along as long as the person advocating for a closed and repressive society reaffirms their preconceived notions, whether they are true or not.
