Usual misrepresentation of Hungary. Believes that democracy is OK as long as it leads to the right results. So if Orban wins it is because rule of law etc does not exist in Hungary but because he is more popular than an opportunistic & unprincipled, out of touch opposition.

Paradoxically, this critic of Orban - a self-acknowledged illiberal- is no less illiberal than the target of his criticism. Hungary must fall in line with the value orientation of the EU oligarchy or risk being pathologised as an exotic remnant of a 1930s tin pot dictatorship.
