It turns out that cutting taxes reduces available revenues and causes deficits!! Who knew???
Running near trillion dollar deficits on a $21 trillion debt is unsustainable and harms our future. This year's omnibus deficit spending bill, which was introduced just last night, may be the easiest option politically, but it's also irresponsible. We can't keep doing this.

You're right - but this isn't just political. The omnibus bill includes nearly $400m for states to protect their at-risk voting systems. We know Russia penetrated between 21 & 39 states in 2016. We need this bill to have confidence in the November election.

Included in the bill is a measure to eliminate ACA subsidies to lower income families. Yes we need the voting systems protected but there are so many things that must be taken into account as well.

Anybody that’s been paying attention knows what’s to come next. They’re going to say they need to cut our entitlements. Mysteriously they act like it’s welfare. Does congress understand the working people pay in to Social security. We are entitled because it’s our money.
