The thing that concerns me the most is the potential loss of faith in election results. It's the bedrock of democracy and thus its biggest vulnerability, yet it's going virtually unaddressed. If we can't ensure fair elections we really will have an existential crisis on our hands

I phrased that poorly. By fair elections i mean provably accurate vote counts, which we cannot achieve with electronic voting machines. I'm a software developer. I always want to eliminate paper. But we can't do that with voting (yet?). It's too important.
