Yes, the decent people in those stories do have their own value & do deserve respect. Being used by “Would Be King” Trump as a prop is antithetical to that purpose. I suggest framing it as such allows one a better opportunity to celebrate heroes while opposing the messenger.

Trumps authoritarian tendencies are a danger to America. It is important that we “still see the good.” Distinguish between Trumps reading off a teleprompter staff prepared stories & the actual heroes in the stories. Celebrate them by condemning him.

Trump wants to destroy NK. This guy still has family, there! Did Trump's Administration bring him out of NK? Then, how does Trump get credit? We aren't a patch off Canada or many, many other places that take in exponentially more refugees, defectors. We make refugees, though!
