I think the just released Trump ad is a pretty good indicator: 1) He doesn’t want a deal 2) He’s whistling to his hardest core supporters 3) There’s absolutely a racial element (which seems to be driven by others in admin, Kelly, Miller?). Total failure to lead.
It should be easy enough for Congress to pass a deal that funds the government and includes CHIP, more funding for border security (not the silly wall) and the military, and a solution for dreamers. The sticking point is DACA. What would motivate such intense opposition to a fix?

Incomprehensible that the lives of overwhelmingly trained/educated, tax-paying young people who are valuable, established members of communities should become an identified block for tax bargaining purposes. Completely wrong!
