I'm going to disagree on that free & fair election part. It's not really free and fair when you have GOP gerrymandering and voter suppression
Agreed. There are more reasons to optimistic than pessimistic. You need to take a closer look at that”independent judiciary”. With the current appointments, it won’t be independent for much longer. Also, current DOJ looking less independent as time goes by. I’d like to be optimistic, but reality is starting to rear it ugly head.

I’m going to disagree with all of this. Free press is under attack, fair elections are a thing of the past, the independent judiciary is being systematically destroyed, and as far as honorable civil servants - most seem to have forgotten they work for the people.

Beyond the problem of safeguarding an election with POTUS and DOJ disinterested in what Ru$$ia is doing is the criminality and complicity of the GOP criminals in Congress. They r aiming to take down Mueller and the free press and the gov't has all the tanks, guns etc we r screwed
