Yes! Resentment is the perfect word. People resent the success of others, especially if they view them as inferior. People who work resent any who don't, even if disabled. Any causes of discontent- Resentment allows people to blame others for their anger, complaints and futility.

I'm not so sure resentment feels good. But it does feel powerful. And when you have been disempowered through corruption, power feels better than powerlessness. We Americans have personal power and responsibility in our DNA.
