True enough. Arrogance makes people stupid. Yet have you heard Flynn speak. If you do it will back up that he's not the brightest bulb even in the dull bulb pile. Folks think ppl are successful for being smart. Often ppl get promoted up chain for being a good ol boy & pedigree

I seriously doubt he did it upfront expecting to get caught and relying on being pardon. If so, that just proves him even dumber than I thought. You don't invite a federal investigation into your life, you don't know where it will go. Scooter Libby thought Bush would pardon him.

If Sessions doesn’t screw up in his confirmation hearings, we get no special council and they probably do get away with all of this.
That's a highly speculative assumption. Flynn doesn't know at the time that Obama admin wouldn't take action to start with a special prosecutor before they leave, which should of happened. We don't know the fallout of Comey being fired & Sessions not recusing + other scenarios
