I feel this is a disingenuous example, since the primaries would have been better-timed for Sanders. The convention revelations served more to harm Dem unity and help Trump than to advance a candidate

Releasing the first batch of emails against Hillary was designed to help Trump, by sowing further dissension in the Democratic Party. That’s why the Russians offered the emails to Trump, not Sanders.
I don’t think so. I think Russia wanted us in chaos but didn’t think we’d be dumb enough to actually elect Trump so they went with a multi-prong attack. They romanced Stein too.
Releasing those stollen emails was done to divide the democrats -which in turn helped tRump.
