Only a party with an extremely damaged electorate would have nominated Trump. Trump simply revealed the truth about the vast majority in the GOP. Congressmen have admitted rich donors demanded the regressive tax bill under consideration.
We opposed President Trump from the beginning not for personal animus, but for concern that he would damage the Republican Party and, more importantly, the nation.

The party and the nation are both damaged. Why can be done? If anyone can do anything, it would seem that any remaining sane Republicans should step up into greater action.
