Nationalist is just another term for Supremacist.
There will never be an alliance between populists, nationalists, and conservatives committed to preserving equality, liberty, and truth in America, no matter how badly Steve Bannon and others may want it.

"American" as used by Trumpists is identity politics as destructive as the identity politics of the left. Identity as a source of grievance; as a way to demand conformity within the group; as a way to be group above individual rights. That is Trumpist "American" nationalism.

Like Bannon ever wants us to have equality, liberty, and power within our own country. Not when he sees, women, gays, poc, and certain religions as sub human. We are not on his radar as people. How can we ever alliance with that sort of thinking?
