Spending/borrowing more when you're at 31% debt/GDP & trying to defeat communism is different than doing so now while at 104%.

spending on infrastructure will produce jobs that put $$ into US economy (new tax revenue). Won't necessarily increase debt %

But yes I realize debt increased under Reagan. I just don't think the situation then is comparable to now. Again, we're at 104%.
