It is deeply concerning that most of Trump's appointments (Bannon/Flynn/Sessions) have been antagonistic to religious and other minorities.

However, taking a hard line is insufficient. Our counterterrorism policy must be strong AND smart. Otherwise it will be counterproductive.
Bannon/Flynn/Sessions all have a pattern of promoting religious and/or racial bigotry, and related policies, including the Muslim ban.

They often cloak their opposition to Syrian refugees and support for banning Muslims from America in claimed concern for national security.

Meanwhile, they ignore the facts about refugees and Muslims, and offer no actual plan to defeat ISIS and Islamist terror in general.
