I'm not even sure that Trump is the main issue anymore. The GOP needs purging. They are clearly unfit as a party to represent the citizens of the United States fairly and impartially. They are willingly aiding and abetting a criminal.
Now that the Senate has acquitted the president of obviously dangerous abuses of power, his attacks on American democracy are likely to escalate and Congress is even less likely to stop him. It's up to us now more than ever to stand up and defend the republic directly in 2020.

And that requires not just trying to vote out Trump, but also throwing all our efforts into: - keeping endangered Democrat seats Democrat - winning Senate seats from Republicans Trump could be reelected. If he is, the only check on his power will be a Dem majority in Congress.

#DemPrimary to make sure the candidate is moderate. I'm terrified of Sanders getting the nomination. I would pull the 800 pound lever but a lot of us ex-GOP and other independents wouldn't. Dems need to pull indies and moderate conservatives to win. - 3 more replies
