  My 93 year old father, a WWII veteran of the 8th USAAF and lifelong Democrat, used those very words - “kangaroo court” and worse - to describe GOP Senators’ behavior. “What did 4 generations of American men fight and die for?” he asks me. I’ve got no answer.
