They also need to recognize that today's GOP is not small gov't, nor fiscally responsible. It is, however, invasive in people's personal lives. Today's "liberals" care about the environment, gun laws, personal freedoms, and are even more fiscally conservative. There is a choice.

Are they “electorally significant”? Most of them live in deep blue areas where being a Republican has more credibility among the educated, but no real political power.

Pennsylvania.... I have a lot of family there that are Republican. And I can tell you they are really unhappy with the party. It’s electorally significant when you are talking about a swing state.

I’m a former republican (way before Trump and for loca reasons). I think the GOP needs to be beaten badly in the next election or two, before we see a return to principles party wide.

I have been saying this as a previous life long Republican from the day Trump took office. Now is the time for those of us (like me) to show their resolve in the pursuit of truth & fact above partisan politics & corrupt power. Vote issues & candidates, NOT just party affiliation.
-
But we all need to be behind one Presidential candidate if we are going to knock Trump out of office. Whoever the Dems pick, vote for them.
