The president's defense team seems to be in denial of the state of this case post Bolton breaking news. It's like they had a plan for today's arguments and didn't know how to adjust when the news broke. They're trudging through today totally unconvincingly.

It is disgusting. Lawyers are not supposed to make arguments they know are not factually supported. And even if they claim the facts are in dispute, good lawyers address the dispute up front. This is horrible trial practice. Shame on them.
