Hard to make a case for protecting sources/methods with THIS administration.
After the recent Bolton news, Senate Republicans *may* feel pressure to allow witnesses, but then attempt to receive their testimony in closed, classified proceedings. This would be cover-up 2.0 and should be a nonstarter. The American people must hear witness testimony directly.

The cat is out of the bag. If Senate R’s refuse to let him testify in open then Bolton needs to set up a nationally televised interview with Rachel Maddow.

i believe the original rules did say it would be a vote to see if they will actually vote for witnesses, then vote for each witness, who would then be privately deposed. then another vote if they will opening testify. I feel american should hear too, but i think thats the set up

They'll allow ONE witness, Bolton. For teh optics. But not Mulvaney. Then they'll be very troubled, but decide that for the good of the country etc they have to acquit Trump.
