Scandinavian countries—which objectively have may more socialist-type programs than pretty much anywhere else in the Western world—are regularly rated as some of the freest societies on earth.
I oppose fascism and socialism because I believe in the innate liberty of humankind.

I oppose using the term socialism as a political rather than economic construct. Fascism, on the other hand, is unequivocally political.

Exactly. Social Democracy is still a capitalist model. It's just more protective of citizens from predatory capitalism.

“Socialism” is a catch-all, though. Democratic Socialism is not authoritarian - in fact, quite the opposite. Fascism is always authoritarian.
