I never want to hear again how Senator so and so is a constitutional conservative if they vote to allow this president’s obstruction of Congress and abuse of power to persist. I don’t want to hear it.

The Constitution only matters if men and women in positions of power uphold and defend it. If we don’t have that, we don’t have anything.

Repubs have supported wide authority for GOP presidents for a long time. Their unitary executive theory essentially says the President is untouchable. It seems like voting to acquit trump is the logical conclusion for them. They don’t seem to anticipate a Dem President. Ever
