Trump would love to have them testify. Except that there's an executive order that's stopping them. And he's the executive. Oh my. A tricky conundrum.
If the cross examination of witnesses is so important as the president’s defense suggests, perhaps there should actually be witnesses in this trail so that they can do exactly that.

The House Republicans did get equal time examining the witnesses. They have shown clips of the Republicans questioning the witnesses.
