This is a problem. It suggests that intelligence officials are unable to speak plainly with the president about major threats. It also indicates that intelligence officials are disinclined to inform the American people of these significant threats for the same reasons, which results in a public without the knowledge required for the national political will to confront those threats.
This is the politicization of intelligence, caused by an insecure, self-interested wannabe dictator, whose power and very perception of self is threatened by basic truth. If intel officials truly spoke candidly, I’m sure they’d say Trump is himself among those threats.
It’s an unmitigated disaster. We have a tyrant in the WH who has his finger on the nuclear button and we have to keep his toddler temper in check. Yes, this is a problem.
Why are they rolling over? We need patriots not doormats.
Some of the threats are probably to our voting systems, so it is imperative that the American public get a “look-see” at the threats, unless we want a dictator. And it won’t be Trump. It will be Putin! How dumb are we? That is the question.
