Non-Dems don't get to dictate to the Dems who the nominee should be by threatening to take your marbles and go home. It's a *Democratic* primary/caucus. If you want a say in the nominee, either register Dem or go to your own primary/caucus. That's the process. (1)

That said, threatening to sit out an election, voting 3rd party, or other sufferage-pouting *does* send a message to trump. It tells him he can divide his opposition by dog-whistling that progressives are communists, radicals, etc. That gives him hope. (2)

The entirety of my former party in congress has been complicit in all Trump has done. They have essentially nullified the checks and balances created in the constitution because they put their fealty to Trump above their oath of office! They must be held to account!

Just vote for the Dem nominee. Take a few election cycles to rebuild the GOP getting rid of corporate shills, war mongers etc...and maybe have a chance of anything worth being elected. As of now, it needs to go away, along with Trump.

What would be nice is if we actually had some adults in the room to tell everyone to knock the crap off and get to work. Not everyone will be happy, but legislating with a mindset of sticking it to the other side gets us nowhere. This "elections have consequences" BS is toxic.
