True except that I don't think the founders ever imagined that the Senate could become so completely corrupt as it is now, probably so corrupt as to even negate the very impeachment process that the founders set up.
Donald Trump is the aspiring tyrant the Founders anticipated. His pursuit of foreign backing is the abuse of power they predicted. His partisan allies in Congress are the corruption of government they expected. Impeachment is the remedy they provided.
