Obviously part of McConnell's strategy. If there is no live witness testimony in the Senate, Democrats will be unable to even try to call any witnesses, such as Bolton and the various Trump Administration officials who refused to appear in the House despite being subpoenaed.

If the Senate refuses to hear the facts then I think the Dems should start holding press conferences & airing ALL the dirty laundry about every GOP -specifically money from dirty sources. They should hold everyone who refused to testify to congress in contempt & jail them.

After 3 years you would think they would finally get the fact that it doesn't matter. Nothing matters. "Cowardice" & "Irresponsibility" are just words. What the GOP will do is programmed and pre-determined. What's the point of appealing to their non-existent ethics or morality?
