In June 2017, I wrote this piece in the Washington Post warning that the GOP risked becoming “the party of Putin” under Trump’s leadership. I wish I’d been wrong.https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/republicans-are-risking-becoming-the-party-of-putin/2017/06/28/78e8e1ee-5c24-11e7-9fc6-c7ef4bc58d13_story.html …

Putin’s Russia hates us. He's framed himself as the leader of a global anti-US movement. He doesn’t care a whit about Trump, Repubs, or Dems; he pursues a zero-sum foreign policy, premised on the belief that anything that hurts the US is good for Russia.http://bit.ly/385m4BH

It's mind boggling that Americans (or their families) who fought to defeat fascism look to Russia as their ally & Dems as their enemy. Sure, Russia is anti-LGBTQ & pro-white but they're anti rights, guns & worship (ex Russian Orthodox) & abortion is main form of birth control.

It's utter insanity.

Perhaps this is the next
@JoeBiden video ad. Show some clips from Russian TV where they are (also) laughing at Trump and actually saying – "We own him." - 1 more reply

Trump happened to the Republican Party, that’s what happened. When the party did not repudiate him for his lousy, hateful campaign, it was doomed. So, thank the party for empowering this ruinous vat of hatefulness.pic.twitter.com/qgq7Wp1cIP
