Evan, I am starting to get a little depressed, because listening to the hearing today, it's very clear every single Republican in Congress is going to let him get away with this, and he will get away with it. I thought a few Republican Congressmen had morals? I guess I was naive.

It's so bizarre that the Republicans - rather than arguing that the President's conduct was inappropriate but not impeachable - are trying to argue that there was nothing wrong with the President asking a foreign power to investigate a political rival.

If they want to try to argue that the delay in the release of aid to Ukraine had nothing to do with the president's request - that's a sketchy argument, but it's at least within the bounds of a debatable point. Arguing that Trump's call was "perfect" is absurd.
